Whether clients are managing the complexities of chronic illness, healing from trauma, or seeking support during their college or early adult years, Dr. Maril provides a compassionate, evidence-based space to help them reclaim their well-being.

      About Dr. Maril

Dr. Maril believes that therapy is a collaborative partnership. Her practice is profoundly informed by 30 years of study in existentialism and existential therapy—a framework that helps clients navigate circumstances that lack easy answers, make sense of the unthinkable, and move through the complex layers of grief and trauma. Beyond her private practice, Dr. Maril has worked in university counseling centers and academic settings. A recognized advocate for the intersection of mental and physical health, she is deeply committed to supporting those living with chronic illness and their caregivers. She frequently speaks at national forums and provides specialized training to clinicians to improve the quality of care for these communities.

A Licensed Health Service Psychologist credentialed by the National Register, Dr. Maril has been in practice since 2012. She holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. Through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), she is authorized to provide teletherapy to clients across most states. She is licensed to provide care in California as well.

Dr. Maril believes that staying balanced is essential to her work. Outside of the office, she finds grounding in the outdoors, travel, and live music.
